Axeno Consulting's Software Development Department Renews Its CMMI Maturity Level 3 Appraisal

Noida, India (23^rd September 2026): Axeno Consulting Private Limited today announced that its Software Development Department has again been appraised at Level 3 of ISACA's Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) for Development, renewing a rating the department first received in 2020. The appraisal was performed by HK Process Innovations and Consulting.  

CMMI is an outcome-based performance model and a globally accepted standard for improving capability, optimizing business performance and aligning operations to business goals.

An appraisal at Maturity Level 3 indicates the unit is performing at a “defined” level. Processes are well characterized and understood, and are described in standards, procedures, tools and methods. The organization’s set of standard processes, which is the basis for Maturity Level 3, is established and improved over time.

A CMMI appraisal result is valid for three years, so the department has been re-appraised against the standard since first reaching Maturity Level 3 in 2020 rather than assessed once. Renewing a rating is a different test from reaching it, because the standard itself is raised over time and the processes have to hold through changes in team, client portfolio and technology stack.
